Bozlea is a gardening app. You photograph and record things in your garden, and we help you identify them, track their health and plan their care. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it — in plain language.

What we collect

Your account — your email address, and a password if you did not sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.
Your garden records — the plants, weeds, pests, diseases and soil samples you add, along with your garden areas, notes, schedules and tasks.
Photos — the pictures you take or upload when you scan something or add it to a gallery.
Location — see the section below, because this one deserves its own explanation.
Your conversations — messages you exchange with the Bozlea advisers, so they can remember the context of your garden between visits.
Basic usage records — how many scans and chats you have used, so we can apply your plan's allowance.

Signed in or not

If you use Bozlea as a guest, your records stay on that device and never reach us — but they are not backed up, and they will not follow you to another device. Once you create an account, your garden is saved to the cloud so you can reach it from your phone and your computer.

Location, specifically

When you photograph a plant, we read the GPS coordinates your camera recorded in that photo, so we can drop a pin in the right spot on your garden map. We read it from the picture itself — we do not track your device, and we do not follow you around after the photo is taken.

If you give us your home address, we convert it to a map position to centre your property. We also send approximate coordinates to a weather service so the advice you get matches your actual weather rather than someone else's.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of services to make the app work:

Google Firebase — stores your account, your records and your photos, and runs the app itself.
Google Gemini — our AI. When you run a scan or ask an adviser a question, the relevant photo and text are sent for analysis and the answer comes back to you.
Google Maps — draws your garden map.
OpenWeather — supplies the forecast and rainfall figures, using approximate coordinates only.
OpenStreetMap — turns a typed address into map coordinates when you set your property location.
Stripe — will handle payments when paid plans open. Stripe processes card details directly; Bozlea never receives or stores your card number.

Community Showcase

Sharing is entirely your choice. Nothing you scan is visible to anyone else unless you explicitly share it to the Community Showcase, and only photos from your own scans can be shared. When you do share, that photo and the display name you chose become visible to other Bozlea users. You can unshare at any time, and deleting the original removes it from the Showcase too.

How long we keep things

Your data stays until you delete it. When you delete a plant, a scan or a photo in the app, we remove it from our database and delete the underlying file from storage. Backups may retain deleted records for a short period before they age out. If you want your whole account and everything in it removed, email us and we will take care of it.

Your choices

See and edit your records at any time inside the app.
Delete individual plants, scans, photos or chats yourself.
Turn off the camera's location capture in your device settings if you would rather not have pins on your map.
Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account entirely.

Security

Your data is held in Google Cloud infrastructure and is protected by rules that restrict every record and file to the account that created it. Bozlea is designed for household gardening records; please do not store sensitive personal information in your garden notes.

Children

Bozlea is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
